The Singer Retail Academy sets the standard for human resources development in the Company by offering a large number of in-house and external courses that provide staff with technical training, problem solving abilities and teamwork skills. A wide variety of other training and development programs are offered to employees at all levels. An important focus of the Company's training is to improve the quality of customer interaction, particularly in respect of front-line sales and credit staff in the retail stores.
Retail Diplomas are offered to field staff in each job category once the required training programs have been completed. A balanced scorecard performance evaluation system is in place to monitor performance on an ongoing basis.
